THE TREEHOUSE – Funded by the BFI and Creative England, this ambitious short film was shot in 2014 and went on to screen at more than 40 International Film Festivals, picking up 8 awards along the way.
HYDE & SEEK – We shot Hyde & Seek over two days on Halloween 2013, quite apt really for a kids horror short! The film was premiered to a packed cinema of kids and has since gone on to Festival screenings in the UK and US.
OUT OF DARKNESS – Shot over 6 days in the summer of 2013, this ambitious fantasy epic was premiered to a packed cinema of kids and is out on the kids festival circuit in 2015.
BOY SOLDIERS – We won two awards including the overall ‘Best Film’ prize at the 2013 Limelight Film Awards in London. As an additional bonus the Best Film Award comes with a £10k production fund attached which we will use for a future PQA collaboration.
A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY – My short film ‘A little bit Country’ started it’s festival run back in May last year and has screened at more than 30 festivals around the world since! It will be having it’s Australian Premiere at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival in 2015.
CTRL – Our PQA short films ‘CTRL’ and ‘Living Nightmare’ both had festival screenings in April as far afield as Arizona, New York and India!
EPITAPH – ‘Epitaph’ starring Karl Johnson tells the tale of Claude, one half of a successful music hall act, left behind when his partner went solo. When Claude hears of his partners death, he decides to pay a tribute to his old friend. Completed in early 2013 the film has gone on to screen at BAFTA, as well as premiering at the Tacoma Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Writer at the Underwire Film Festival in London.
The film was selected as part of the Directors UK / Arri ‘Challenge ALEXA’ competition, which enabled us to shoot anamorphic on the new Arri ALEXA plus 4:3. With additional support from Arri Lighting, Alpha Grip and produced by my production company Angelic Films, the 2 day shoot took place at 3 mills studios and on location in Watford in early december 2012. The film was selected as Movie of the Week on Shorts TV in October 2016.
